ХХІ ст. кидає людству, у тому числі й Україні, величезну кількість викликів, на які необхідно відповісти. Зрозуміти спектр загроз і тенденції розвитку світового співтовариства – найважливіше завдання для людства. Визначено глобальні ризики, а також тенденції, які можуть посилити їх або змінити співвідношення між ними. Ризики поділяються на п’ять категорій: економічні, екологічні, геополітичні, соціальні та технологічні, що ґрунтовно досліджені.
